O nigiri お握り Japanese Rice BallsO nigiri also known as o musubi nigirimeshi or simply rice ball is a Japanese food made from plain white rice formed into triangular or cylindrical shapes and wrapped in nori seaweed Traditionally onigiri is filled with something salty or sour like ume or salted salmon Most convenient stores in Japan carry onigiri with various fillings and flavors Onigiri can also be found in many convenient stores in Hong Kong China Taiwan South Korea and California I had a quiet Sunday afternoon so I decided to make a few of these onigiri Different flavors different wrapping methods however you choose to make these they make great picnic or lunch box items Stuff them with chicken or beef teriyaki spicy tuna or season them with some good soy sauce have fun with onigiri and make them your own Note Onigiri is not a form of sushi Onigiri is made with plain rice while sushi is made with rice mixed with vinegar sugar and salt Background Music スチャダラパー サマージャム95 インスト by Hella Maker
