京友禅は8世紀から伝わる染色技術ですが 手描友禅は17世紀後半に宮崎友禅斎が確立したと伝えられています 手描友禅と型友禅に分かれる物の どちらも高度な技術が受け継がれており 華麗多彩な柄模様を染める日本の代表的な染め技術です
