Making an Edwardian Lace Blouse

Hello everyone and welcome to a new video I have been really really digging the Edwardians for the past few months so when I decided to incorporate more historically inspired items into my wardrobe I knew an Edwardian lace blouse was ESSENTIAL I found this pattern by Folkwear the Gibson Girl blouse which looked perfect I wasn t able to find as fine insertion lace as I wanted so instead I used leftover lace from my Edwardian combinations It doesn t look as delicate as I wanted it to but I still like it Overall I am fairly pleased with the pattern The instructions were easy to follow and the pattern itself is gorgeous I mention at the end that there are two options to cut the length of the back I have quite a short torso and I picked the longest length and still this is a little short for me even to tuck into a skirt so I would just beware I also mentioned I wasn t too fussed about the gathered ruffle at the top of the collar I still feel this way and am quite certain I will remove it I am so excited to make some more variations of this so I can have endless long skirt shirtwaist combos historyboundIf you are interested in seeing some more of my work here are some links Instagram katisinthebagFor business inquiries email catscostumery gmail comMusic from Epidemic Sound
