Rava Dosa (Ready in 15 minutes!)

Rava Dosa is my all time favourite South Indian breakfast DA lacy crispy Indian crepe made with semolina and flavoured with onions ginger and coriander once you have one you won t be able to stop The best part of this recipe is that it all comes together in under 15 mins which makes this the perfect breakfast any day of the week Full recipe listed below I hope you enjoy this video INGREDIENTS1 3 cup long grain rice basmati jasmine etc 3 5 cups water1 2 cup semolina aka rava sooji 1 4 cup all purpose flour1 tsp salt1 tsp cumin Seeds1 2 cup finely chopped red onions1 4 cup chopped fresh coriander1 2 tbsp fresh grated ginger1 tsp crushed black peppercorns2 tbsp plain yogurt3 tbsp ghee3 tbsp vegetable oilMETHODAdd rice to a bowl and top with tap water Massage grains until water turns cloudy Drain and repeat the process until the water runs clear Allow the rice to soak for 10 minutes Add drained soaked rice and 1 2 cup of water to a high speed blender Blend until smooth In a bowl add ground rice mixture and remaining ingredients except the ghee and oil Mix together until smooth and water like in consistency The batter should be very thin and splash like water in order to make lacy rava dosas In a small bowl mix together ghee and vegetable oil Heat a large frying pan on medium high heat and lightly grease with ghee oil mixture Once hot scoop ladlefuls of the rava dosa batter and splash onto the pan from a height to create a lacy pattern Keep splashing until the majority of the pan is filled Little pockets throughout the dosa are okay Allow the dosa to set for 1 5 minutes then drizzle ghee oil around the perimeter and towards the middle of the dosa where pockets exist When visibly crisp and browned use a spatula to gently release the dosa from the pan and flip over Cook for one minute on the other side Remove from the pan and serve right away Enjoy MUSIC
